The board forms the command layer that coordinates motor feedback, fieldbus traffic, and safety signals so a drive can execute position, velocity, and torque loops in industrial automation cells. By combining Ethernet-based networks with encoder handling and safe-motion logic, the unit lets machine builders integrate synchronous or asynchronous axes into packaging lines, material-handling systems, and multi-axis machining platforms. It is installed within the drive rather than used as a stand-alone controller.
The analog section provides a reference channel rated at 5 V / 1 mA, giving external hardware a low-power voltage source for transducer feedback or test points. For secondary position feedback, the board carries an auxiliary encoder interface that accepts 2 × EN2 (EnDat2.1/1 Vpp/5 V TTL) channels; each channel is supplied by a dedicated 5.0 V source that delivers 350 mA.
