Product Description:

The CDB01.1C-SE-ENS-ENS-NNN-NNN-S2-S-NN-FW is a modular control section manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the CDB Control Units series. This unit attaches to a drive power section to deliver axis management, feedback processing, and fieldbus communication inside multi-axis automation cells. As a control module, it mediates commands between the drive and the machine PLC, supervises encoder data, and participates in the motion safety chain. Its function is to coordinate precise servo positioning tasks in packaging, handling, and processing equipment. It fits into the IndraDrive modular platform and is selected when scalability and compact cabinet layouts are required.

For network traffic the control section uses the SERCOS II fiber-optic ring, securing deterministic synchronization across drives with two axes addressed per module. Internal electronics draw 9 W at nominal logic level, so panel heat rise remains limited. Eight transistor outputs switch loads up to 0.5 A, while the high side voltage is 24 V, aligning with common sensor supply rails. The D-Sub 15 female connector routes feedback from two ENS channels, each operating at 12 V to accommodate SinCos encoders, and the same 24 V DC rail supplies the board’s I/O circuitry.

Safe Motion technology embedded in the control section supplies overspeed, standstill, and direction checks without extra safety relays. At energization the 24 V backplane sees an inrush of 6 A that persists for 60 ms before the circuit returns to an operating draw capped at 1.1 A. A ready relay contact rated for 1 A shares the same voltage rail to inform a supervisory PLC that drive electronics are initialized. The standard operator panel on the front face offers tactile keys and a status display, and the ENS channels maintain identical signal levels for each connected encoder.
