The CCD01.1-KE16-02-FW control card is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the CCD Motion Controllers series. Serving as the main computing unit inside a Rexroth drive rack, it executes trajectory calculations, handles axis synchronization, and exchanges status data with higher-level PLCs. The card links directly to a SERCOS drive network and is intended for multi-axis positioning in material-handling cells, pick-and-place robots, and other industrial automation equipment. This role allows the controller to coordinate several drive axes from one central slot, helping maintain synchronized motion during transfer, interpolation, and indexing tasks.
Its non-volatile program store is 1 Mbyte, while user parameters are retained in battery-buffered SRAM of 512 Kbyte; this separation keeps application data independent from the stored operating code. Four EPROM sockets provide room for code mirroring, and the controller chassis offers 4 expansion slots so additional fieldbus or I/O boards can be mounted without external adapters. Application-specific logic can also be added on up to 3 mezzanine cards, which connect directly to the processor bus for low-latency access. Because these add-on boards mount inside the controller, signal paths remain short and auxiliary functions can be integrated without separate external hardware. Cooling airflow requires 70 mm of free space above the module, and the 147 mm card length keeps the assembly within standard IEC cabinet depths.
Power is supplied through the backplane at a nominal 24 VDC, with proper operation maintained down to 18 VDC and up to 32 VDC so the card tolerates brownouts and regenerative surges common in drive cabinets. The logic and optical interface draw a typical 1 A, leaving margin on a standard control supply rail. Two serial ports provide service diagnostics or point-to-point communication, while separate optical Rx and Tx connectors isolate the motion bus from electrical noise. Electrical isolation helps preserve communication quality in cabinets that also contain switching power devices. A 3.3 V lithium backup cell sustains the real-time clock and keeps the SRAM image valid when cabinet power is off.
