The Bosch Rexroth manufactured CCD01.1-KE11-01-FW box terminal is one of the various CCD line of products from the manufacturer. There are four slots to insert the option cards through a plug-in action. The product is generally used with motion controllers from the same manufacturer. The device is equipped with an H1 LED to determine its power status. It operates using firmware designed by the manufacturer for this purpose. The unit supports cross-communication through a SERCOS III interface. The terminal features two RJ 45 type connectors with a yellow LED at the top and a green LED at the bottom of each connector. Each connector is also equipped with eight pins out of which only four pins are put to use.
The first two pins of each connector operate as differential outputs A and B to transmit 10/100 Base-T signals. The third and sixth pins function as differential inputs A and B to receive the same signals. The interface is compatible with 10 Base-T signals and 100 Base-T signals that are in accordance with IEEE 802.3i and IEEE 802.3u standards respectively. The firmware for the operation will have to be separately ordered as a sub-item from the manufacturer. The housing of the terminal offers a shield connection. The box terminal comes with a warranty for one year.
The SERCOS III interface adheres to IEE 802.3 standards. The green LEDs glow when there is a network connection. The yellow LEDs light-up to inform the user when there is data transmission. This CCD series product has a size of 21 x 11 x 19 cm (L x W x H). The device is not heavy and weighs just 2.4kg. This lightweight feature makes it an easily portable unit.
