The CCD01.1-KE08-02-FW motion controller is built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the CCD Motion Controllers series. It serves as the command layer in modular automation by linking axis drives, field sensors, and host PLCs. Within a machine, the unit generates trajectory data, issues position setpoints, and supervises diagnostic traffic so coordinated multi-axis motion remains accurate and consistent. This role makes it suitable for applications that require centralized motion coordination across several connected devices.

The controller receives backplane power at 24 VDC, which supplies the internal logic and attached daughter boards without a separate source. All real-time motion and parameter traffic moves over a SERCOS Fiber-Optic Ring, providing deterministic timing and strong resistance to electrical noise. The motherboard includes 4 plug-in card slots, allowing application-specific I/O or feedback modules to be added as needed. Incoming cabinet power is routed through connector X1, and the front-panel indicator H1 shows when that supply is present. The card cages are identified as positions U1-U4, which helps keep installed modules organized by physical location inside the controller.

The controller can be linked with drives in the ECODRIVE 3 family, supporting coordinated motion across a wide range of axis sizes. For contour generation, the motherboard accepts the motion processor card type CLC-D02.3, which adds computing capacity for camming, gearing, and spline execution. Discrete and analog field signals can be connected through the DEA28/29/30 I/O cards, while optional DAQ, DAG, DLF, DEF, DAE, and DCF boards support data acquisition, function generation, encoder evaluation, and fieldbus bridging. This modular layout allows the base controller to be adapted for different motion and signal-handling tasks without changing the core unit.
