Product Description:
The Bosch Rexroth Indramat BTV40.2BIC-512P-P8C-NN-FW belongs to the BTV30 Machine Control Terminals series and serves as a dedicated operator station for automated machining centers and production cells. It combines a sealed front panel with onboard computing so that process data, motion commands, and diagnostic screens can be presented locally without an external PC. Its 15-inch graphic display, hard keys, and serial interfaces allow commands to be issued directly to the controller or PLC from the work area, reducing cabinet wiring and simplifying operator access.
The terminal shows graphics on a 15-inch TFT panel with a native resolution of 1024 × 768 pixels and can render up to 256,000 colors for clear visualization of tool paths and alarms. A 512 MB main memory block supports the Windows-based runtime and local visualization software, while the embedded 200 MHz Pentium processor executes HMI tasks and manages fieldbus drivers. Network integration is handled through one RJ45 10/100BASE-T port. Additional peripherals can be attached through two rear USB Type-A sockets, a 25-pin parallel port, or a 15-pin HD-Sub VGA output. A hard disk with at least 20 GB of capacity stores part programs, log files, and boot images. Sixteen machine function keys below the screen provide direct access to frequently used cycles. All operator inputs are registered through a tactile membrane keypad rather than a touch overlay, giving users physical feedback when commands are entered.
The enclosure draws a maximum of 200 W and keeps dust and coolant away from the electronics with a front protection rating of IP65. The panel cutout requires a 370 mm height and a 407 mm width, while the slide-in computer module measures 372 × 335 × 200 mm behind the bezel. Version 2 software works with the P8C interface board to support communication with legacy drives over the installed fieldbus. The sealed front surface permits installation near machining processes where airborne dust or occasional coolant spray may reach the operator station.
