Product Description:
The BTV30.2PA-28R-11C-D-FW is a panel-mount machine control terminal from Bosch Rexroth Indramat, supplied as part of the BTV30 Machine Control Terminals series. It serves as a compact operator station that links personal computer hardware with motion and process controllers, allowing on-machine visualization, data entry, and command execution for automated cells and machining centers. The unit is Version 2 hardware and balances processing capacity with the environmental sealing required on the shop floor.
It includes a 10.4" TFT color display, 640 × 480 pixels, providing VGA resolution for status graphics and soft keys that appear around process images. Data can be loaded locally through the integrated 3.5", 1.44 MB floppy drive, which remains useful for quick parameter transfers. A Pentium 200 MHz CPU handles HMI tasks, logic preprocessing, and graphic refresh without an external PC. Power is accepted from a wide industrial supply of AC 115…230 V, 50…60 Hz, so the unit can be wired to single-phase control circuits worldwide. Operator text entry uses the American (US) keyboard layout, which supports direct compatibility with standard ASCII commands used in many PLC programming packages.
Eight dedicated machine function inputs are implemented as 8 keys on the right side of the bezel, giving the user one-touch access to frequently used cycle operations or safety acknowledgments. The aluminum front meets IP 65, while the rear housing is IP 20, so the electronics remain protected against dust and low-pressure water jets when the panel is flush-mounted. Installation space is set by a slide-in frame measuring 372 × 335 × 200 mm, permitting placement in most standard control cabinets of the 19-inch class. With a mass of 10.5 kg, the terminal can be supported on typical swing arms or door hinges without additional reinforcement. The series 30 design keeps process visualization and keyboard handling in the same enclosure.
