It serves as a local human-machine interface in CNC installations where motion control, part programming, and status feedback must be handled at the machine rather than on a supervisory computer, keeping routine operation close to the equipment. Intended for CNC applications without export restriction, this Version 2, Series 30 unit integrates a display, keypad, and embedded processor so users can start, stop, and fine-tune machining cycles on the shop floor during normal production.
The terminal runs on a Pentium 200 MHz slot CPU that includes its own graphics controller and is paired with 64 MB of DRAM for runtime data and operating system code. Visual output is provided by a 10.4" TFT color display, and the screen presents 640 × 480 pixels for part programs, axis positions, and diagnostic dialogs. Input power is drawn from an AC 115…230 V, 50…60 Hz mains feed, allowing installation in a wide range of electrical cabinets without a separate transformer. The slide-in chassis measures 372 × 335 × 200 mm, which matches common rack depths in control enclosures.
