For shop-floor use, the unit has a front panel with an IP65 rating, so the membrane keyboard and display are protected from coolant splash and airborne particulates during machining. An array of 8 function keys is positioned on the right edge to trigger machine-specific cycles without navigating software menus, complementing the U.S.-layout alphanumeric keyboard. The dedicated key bank can be assigned to recurring machine actions so frequently used commands remain easy to access. The electronics, cooling path, and wiring are contained within a slide-in chassis measuring 372 × 335 × 200 mm. This size lets the unit fit standard operator consoles while leaving space for I/O modules behind it, and the slide-in format supports installation in enclosed machine panels.
