The BTV30.2CA-64R-11C-D-FW machine control terminal is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the BTV30 Machine Control Terminals series. Classified as version 2 of the 30 platform, it serves as an integrated operator station on CNC machines used in export-controlled applications. By combining the display, CPU, floppy storage, and membrane keyboard in a slide-in form factor, it removes the need for a separate industrial PC and allows direct installation in the control-cabinet door. This arrangement keeps the operating interface and the computing hardware together in one enclosure, which helps simplify panel layout and front-access operation.
Its operator interface centers on a 10.4" TFT color display that renders 640 × 480 graphics for G-code, axis positions, and alarm texts. Processing is handled by a Pentium 200 MHz slot CPU with integrated graphics, so the terminal can present machine data and tool-path visuals without an external graphics card. The system carries 64 MB of DRAM, which provides space for part programs and resident diagnostics during normal operation. Data exchange is supported by the onboard 3.5", 1.44 MB floppy drive, which provides removable media storage for program files and backup data. Power compatibility spans AC 115…230 V at 50…60 Hz, allowing the same hardware to operate from either North American or European mains. An American keyboard layout for BOF/MUI supports direct entry of mnemonics and ASCII characters during program edits.
For machine-level interaction, the right side hosts 8 machine function keys that can be assigned to cycle start, feed hold, coolant, or auxiliary outputs. Environmental sealing of the front bezel meets IP65, while the remaining housing is rated IP20 so the display surface resists dust and low-pressure water jets. The terminal slides into a space measuring 372 × 335 × 200 mm and the assembly weighs 10.5 kg, which helps keep door loading manageable during installation. Internal boards are accessible through the slide-in cage, and the terminal exchanges data with connected drives over the machine network.
