Product Description:
The BTV30.2CA-28R-45C-D-FW is a machine control terminal produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the BTV30 Machine Control Terminals series. Version 2 of the slide-in module combines an operator panel, an embedded PC, and I/O routing in a 372 × 335 × 200 mm housing. The unit is intended for CNC applications that fall under export control, where it supervises axis motion, program sequencing, and diagnostic feedback on shop-floor equipment during routine machine operation.
The terminal presents a 10.4" TFT color display that gives clear process graphics. Its pixel matrix of 640 × 480 pixels supports detailed part programs and alarm lists without scaling artifacts. A Pentium 200 MHz slot CPU with integrated graphics carries out interpolation cycles while updating the screen at the same time. Removable job and parameter storage is handled by a 3.5" 1.44 MB disk drive mounted behind the front panel. Text, G-code, and soft-key captions follow an American (US) keyboard layout, allowing direct correspondence with BOF and MUI software layers. This arrangement supports local data entry and machine interaction from the front of the terminal.
The right side of the panel hosts 8 machine function keys whose hardware contacts reduce debounce delays during repetitive starts, stops, or tool calls. Power is supplied through an input range of AC 115–230 V, and the terminal accommodates line frequencies of 50–60 Hz for use in mixed-voltage plants. The front membrane, keys, and display bezel are sealed to IP65, while the rear housing meets IP20, permitting open-cabinet installation where dust or coolant splash reaches only the operator face. Fully populated, the assembly weighs 10.5 kg, so standard swing arms or VESA brackets can support it. Internal forced convection keeps the electronics within thermal limits during continuous CNC duty.
