The BTV30.2CA-28R-33C-D-FW is an operator interface built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the BTV30 Machine Control Terminals series. Tailored for CNC equipment subject to export controls, it combines visualization, data entry, and onboard processing so machining centers can be supervised from a single front panel. Within an automated cell, it presents tool offsets, axis positions, and alarm messages at eye level so critical machine status remains visible during operation. This arrangement keeps display and input functions together on the machine front, reducing the need for separate interface hardware.

Core human-machine interaction is handled by a 10.4" TFT color display that renders 640 × 480 pixel graphics for program status, part drawings, and parameter lists. Computing resources come from a Pentium 200 MHz slot CPU with an integrated graphics controller, so no external video card is required. The terminal accepts a nominal supply of AC 115 to 230 V, 50 to 60 Hz, enabling direct connection to standard control-cabinet power rails. Environmental exposure is addressed by an IP65 front and IP20 housing rating, which protects the viewing surface against dust and washdown spray while the rear section remains inside a protected cabinet. For direct machine access, there are 8 machine function keys on the right side, and each key can be assigned to actions such as tool change, zero return, or coolant control.

Data exchange is supported by a 3.5" 1.44 MB disk drive, which allows quick loading of part programs and other system files. Text and numerical entry use an American (US) keyboard layout, matching common CNC code editors and standard control terminology. The slide-in module measures 372 × 335 × 200 mm, and at a mass of 10.5 kg it can be supported by standard 19-inch frame hardware. It is Version 2 of the Series 30 platform and is supplied as a preset package. The operating system provides diagnostic access through the BOF/MUI interface.
