Bosch Rexroth Indramat’s BTV30.2CA-28R-11C-D-FW belongs to the BTV30 Machine Control Terminals series and is supplied as a machine control terminal for CNC workstations. It integrates operator input, visualization, and basic computing so that a single panel can start, stop, and supervise automated machining sequences. The unit allows direct mounting on the machine enclosure, letting operators access motion commands, diagnostic data, and manual overrides without leaving the production zone.
The operator interacts through a 10.4" TFT color display that renders 640 × 480 pixels for status graphics and G-code messages, and the American keyboard layout for BOF / MUI simplifies text entry on North American shop floors. Control logic runs on a Pentium 200 MHz Slot CPU with an integrated graphics controller, so screen refresh and PLC handshakes share the same processor without an external card. System software and part programs can be exchanged by means of the mounted 3.5 in. disk drive that writes and reads 1.44 MB DOS-formatted diskettes. The electronics draw from a universal supply range of AC 115...230 V, 50...60 Hz, allowing installation in mixed-voltage plants. The front panel is rated IP65, while the housing is rated IP20 so convection air can remove processor heat.
The housing is a slide-in cassette measuring 372 × 335 × 200 mm; this depth lets the computer, power supply, and I/O wiring fit behind the sealed bezel without protruding into operator space. Eight dedicated machine function keys, positioned on the right side, give tactile access to frequently used cycles, and the cluster is identified simply as 8 keys. Version 2 of the panel, classified as Series 30, supports CNC applications that are subject to export control. A weight of 10.5 kg permits one-person installation yet adds enough mass to damp vibration when buttons are struck.
