The BTV30.1CD-16R-50B-D-020200-FW machine control terminal is built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the BTV30 Machine Control Terminals series. The unit serves as an operator interface and execution platform for CNC equipment, combining display, input, and embedded PC resources so numerical programs can be loaded, edited, and executed directly on the shop floor. By integrating motion command processing with front-panel interaction, the terminal simplifies system wiring and provides a sealed front surface that suits machining centers and other industrial automation stations.
Inside the housing, a Pentium 166 MHz CPU drives the graphical interface shown on the 10.4" TFT color display with a fixed resolution of 640 × 480 pixels. Local storage is provided by a hard drive with at least 500 MB of capacity, giving sufficient space for part programs and parameter sets. Environmental sealing is achieved through an IP65 front panel, while the rear enclosure remains at IP20; this split protection allows washdown cleaning of the bezel without requiring full cabinet sealing. Cabinet design must account for the slide-in cassette format of 372 × 335 × 200 mm so airflow and cable clearance remain adequate.
Removable media support is provided by a front-mounted 3.5" 1.44 MB disk drive, allowing legacy NC files to be transferred without a network connection. Eight soft keys are mapped to machine cycles, and the cluster is implemented as 8 machine function keys on the right-hand side to keep the viewing area unobstructed. A German BOF keyboard layout is fitted for direct alphanumeric input during program entry and setup tasks. The CNC designation with export restriction is locked to Version 1, and the unit weighs about 10.5 kg, which supports stable mounting in the slide-rail assembly.
