The BTV30.1CD-08R-50B-D-020200-FW machine control terminal is part of the BTV30 Machine Control Terminals series from Bosch Rexroth Indramat. It functions as a human-machine interface for CNC workstations, allowing operators to call programs, enter offsets, and monitor motion sequences on machining centers and similar automated equipment. The unit is intended for applications where direct access to operating data, program handling, and machine status is required during normal production.

Visual feedback is shown on a 10.4" TFT color display with 640 × 480 resolution, giving clear status and program information at typical viewing distances in control cabinets. A permanently mounted 3.5-inch floppy drive stores setup data on 1.44 MB disks, and the internal IDE bay accepts a hard drive of at least 500 MB for larger NC part programs and diagnostic files. Processing is handled by a Pentium running at 166 MHz, which is sufficient for soft PLC tasks and graphical screen updates. For shop-floor exposure, the aluminum front face has an IP 65 rating that helps protect the keypad area from dust and coolant splashes, while the rear housing remains ventilated inside the cabinet.

The slide-in chassis measures 372 × 335 × 200 mm, allowing the terminal to fit 19-inch racks without additional brackets. Its mass is 10.5 kg, which keeps the unit manageable during installation or service. Eight dedicated machine function keys, shown as 8 keys along the right edge, supplement the German BOF membrane keyboard so frequently used cycles can be started with a single press.
