The BTV20.3SA-24B-55C-S-FW operator panel is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the BTV20 Machine Operator Panels series. Mounted on milling, turning, or assembly stations, the unit supplies local control for program selection, axis jogging, and alarm acknowledgment. In an automated cell, it acts as the human-machine interface between the operator and the drive or CNC controller. Its role is especially useful where operators need immediate access to start, stop, selection, and acknowledgment functions without moving to a separate workstation.

The hardware platform integrates a minimum 1 GHz processor together with a serial RS485 port, allowing deterministic data exchange with upstream PLCs and drive buses. Working memory is fixed at 1024 MB, providing space for tool offsets, part counters, message handling, and diagnostic buffers during operation. Power is accepted from AC 115 to 230 V mains, and the internal supply synchronizes with the worldwide 50 to 60 Hz grid so no tap change is needed. Nonvolatile data such as part programs are saved through the Smart Card interface, eliminating moving storage media. The keyboard layout also allows frequently used machine actions to remain available even when the active display page changes.
