The BTV20.3EA-24B-55C-D-FW operator panel is built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the BTV20 Machine Operator Panels series. Within a machining or assembly cell, the unit serves as the local human-machine interface, linking numerical or logic controllers with the machine operator. Its electronics, membrane keys, and display are packaged for cabinet-door mounting so commands and status information can be exchanged in real time during machine setup and production. The panel also provides a front-access point for viewing process messages, entering text, and acknowledging alarms without opening the control cabinet.

Electrical power is supplied over a range of AC 115 to 230 V, 50 to 60 Hz, so the panel can connect to common single-phase utility or control-cabinet supplies without an added transformer. Internally, a minimum 1 GHz processor and an RS485 interface handle screen updates and serial communication with the drive or PLC. System memory includes 1024 MB (1 GB) of RAM for the operating kernel and user data buffers. For direct machine interaction, the front foil integrates 16 machine function keys that can be assigned to common machine commands, and a standard keyboard layout supports alphanumeric entry. A 3.5-inch, 1.44 MB disk drive provides removable storage for archived files and transfer tasks.

As an MTA export version panel, the device is prepared for multilingual operator prompts and metric default units. Hardware design 3 matches the later mechanical layout used for this model, and assignment to product line 20 keeps it aligned with compatible cable sets and mounting frames in the same series. The required software is a separate order item, so the panel is supplied without the operating package included. This arrangement leaves the installed memory available for the application once the correct software package is loaded.
