BTV20.3AA-56B-44C-D-FW is a rugged operator terminal. It has a PC-like architecture and uses the Windows operating system. Function type for the unit is MTA and an export certificate is mandatory. Features available on the unit include a Pentium processor running at 700 MHz, a standard keyboard, 10.4 inch display, 256 MB RAM, RS-485 serial interface, and 3.5-inch disk drive. There are 16 machine function keys located on both the right and left hand sides of the display. Firmware for the unit must be ordered separately. The power supply rating is 115 to 230 Volts AC at 50/60 Hertz. The power supply unit can be accessed at the bottom side of the unit where a power switch and a power connection are located. A cooling fan on the power supply allows effective cooling.
At a cold start temperature of 25 ⁰C, the maximum startup current is 30 Amps at 115 Volts and 60 Amps at 230 Volts. Maximum power consumption of the terminal unit is 185 Watts. A number of PCI and ISA slots are also accessible on the bottom side. These include 3 PCI slots, one PCI/ISA combo slot, and 4 ISA slots. Front panel of the BTV20.3AA-56B-44C-D-FW is IP65 rated and provides full dust ingress protection and strong water protection. As the front panel is exposed to the elements, this excellent ingress protection allows reliable and safe use of the terminal by staff working on the plant floor.
