The BTV20.2EA-64B-33C-D-FW operator terminal is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the BTV20 Machine Operator Panels series. The panel functions as a machine operator interface that presents process data and accepts commands for CNC- or PLC-controlled stations. By combining a display, keyboard, and function keys in one enclosure, it provides a compact human-machine interface for production cells and transfer lines. This arrangement keeps the main operator controls in a single housing and reduces the need for separate panel hardware at the machine.
The panel operates from an input range of AC 115 to 230 V at 50 to 60 Hz, so it can be installed in both North American and European control cabinets. Its front face carries 16 machine function keys, enabling direct activation of frequently used PLC functions without navigating on-screen menus. This layout supports routine machine actions without requiring the operator to leave the main display. The embedded PC requires a minimum 3 GB HDD for the operating system, application files, and diagnostic logs, and a 300 MHz CPU provides the minimum processor speed for reliable graphics updates and fieldbus communication. A 3.5-inch 1.44 MB disk drive is installed for program loading or system recovery with standard floppy media. For data entry beyond the soft keys, a standard keyboard is included, giving full alphanumeric input when editing part programs or changing parameters.
The unit uses Design 2 for its electronic layout and mounting scheme. A separately ordered firmware module allows application software to be updated without replacing the entire terminal. The MTA export version is intended for export markets and uses multilingual labeling with metric default settings. It is part of product line 20, which uses the same cutout dimensions, backplane connectors, and cabling as other operator panels from the same generation. The shared mechanical and electrical format allows the terminal to fit panel openings and connector layouts used across that platform.
