The BTV20.2CA-64B-10D-D-FW operator panel is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the BTV20 Machine Operator Panels series. It combines human-machine interface hardware with built-in control resources so one unit can call, adjust, and monitor machine programs directly at the machine. It is intended for operator-facing tasks such as program selection, value adjustment, and status review during normal machine operation. This places core interface functions in a single housing instead of spreading them across separate devices. By integrating a keyboard, function keys, and an internal computing platform, the panel provides direct command entry to CNC- or PLC-based production cells, helping reduce cabinet wiring and preserve enclosure space in industrial automation systems.

The panel runs on a DC 24 V supply, permitting direct connection to the low-voltage power rails commonly used in machine tools and related control equipment. This arrangement lets the panel share the same control voltage used by many cabinet components. Its base system configuration is min. 1 GB, min. 200 MHz, so the operating environment expects at least one gigabyte of storage and a 200 MHz clock. Runtime data are buffered in 64 MB of RAM, allowing local variable tables, screen graphics, and diagnostic logs to remain available without depending on an external PC. For front-side interaction, the unit includes 16 machine function keys with a fixed-travel membrane design for quick access to frequently used machining cycles or axis selections.

Application data can be exchanged through a 3.5-inch, 1.44 MB disk drive mounted inside the housing, which supports software updates or recipe transfers with standard floppy media. The operator panel uses the MTC panel function type, so screen layouts and key codes follow the Multi-Technology Control convention used on Rexroth-based platforms. This keeps interface behavior consistent across compatible control installations. The unit is in Design 2 and Product Line 20 of the BTV Panel family, and a standard alphanumeric keyboard is fitted for routine text and numeric entry.
