Product Description:
Bosch Rexroth Indramat supplies the BTV20.2CA-28B-33C-D-FW as an operator panel in the BTV20 Machine Operator Panels series. This unit combines keyboard entry, machine function keys, and an integrated computer platform to support direct interaction with CNC- or PLC-based equipment. By combining the display, keys, and embedded control electronics in one front-mountable housing, it supports local command input, status viewing, and recipe handling on automated lines. The integrated format reduces the need for separate panel components and keeps operator controls close to the machine process.
The computer section has a minimum storage capacity of 3 GB, a processor clock of 300 MHz, and volatile memory of 128 MB. These values support real-time tasks such as diagnostics screens and motion command sequence processing. The panel accepts AC 115 to 230 V mains at 50 to 60 Hz, so it can connect to common industrial power systems without an external transformer. For manual operation, the front panel includes 16 machine function keys that can be assigned by the control software to repeated actions such as tool changes, axis jogging, or coolant commands. A standard keyboard layout also allows entry of text and numeric values during program selection, parameter entry, and alarm acknowledgment.
A front-loaded 3.5-inch disk drive is installed for legacy program transfer and can store up to 1.44 MB on compatible media. This front access is useful on machines that still move small files by removable disks instead of through a network connection. The software package is ordered separately so the required language set and machine functions can be selected for the application. Panel function type MTC links the keyboard matrix, function keys, and status LEDs to the Indramat CNC kernel through backplane cabling. Design 2 indicates the second mechanical revision of this operator panel.
