Product Description:
The BTV20.2CA-28B-11D-D-FW is a human-machine interface panel produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the BTV20 Machine Operator Panels series. In an automation cell, it gives operators a direct point for command entry and status monitoring without requiring access to the controller hardware. It is intended for machine-side operation where status messages, input prompts, and command selections must be available in one front-mounted unit. This arrangement keeps routine operating functions close to the display and keypad during normal production.
For power, the panel uses a DC 24 V supply that can be connected to the machine's low-voltage control circuit. The front membrane includes 16 machine function keys beside the display, so common commands can be reached without navigating multiple menu levels. System memory includes 128 MB of SDRAM for active processes and application data, while a minimum of 1 GB of nonvolatile storage is used for the operating environment and user programs. The processor runs at min. 200 MHz, providing enough performance for interface handling and panel-driven control tasks. Separating working memory from stored program space helps the panel manage active screens and retained data at the same time.
The base configuration includes an RS485 interface for serial communication with compatible drives or PLCs. This link supports straightforward point-to-point communication where a simple serial connection is preferred. Local data backup is supported by an onboard 3.5-inch, 1.44 MB disk drive mounted behind the front cover. The panel uses Design 2, which matches cutouts standardized across Product Line 20 of the BTV family. Its panel function classification is MTC, meaning machine, tool, and channel keys are combined in one housing, and a standard tactile keyboard is included for alphanumeric input.
