The CFG-BTV15.2B-B1-2D is a visualization terminal manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the BTV15 Visualization Terminals series. It combines an operator display and an embedded controller so that machine statuses, alarms, and motion parameters can be entered and viewed at the same panel. In automated cells, the unit acts as a local human-machine interface, passing operator commands to the PLC while presenting real-time diagnostics from drives and sensors.
The terminal is powered from a nominal supply of 24 VDC, and at this voltage its worst-case demand does not exceed 50 VA. Internally, a 5x86 processor running at 266 MHz executes visualization tasks, recipe handling, and local logic. Application data is buffered by 2 MB of PLC RAM so that machine sequences are retained after a warm restart. Thermal loading is limited, with a maximum heat dissipation of 40 W, while typical operation averages 24 W, allowing installation in sealed cabinets with only convection airflow. The rear housing carries an IP20 rating that provides finger-safe protection but no resistance to liquid ingress.
User interaction is provided by an 8.2 in. DSTN color display paired with a resolution of 640 × 480 px, and this VGA format keeps graphic elements clear enough for detailed fault messages and trend charts. Eight dedicated machine function keys sit below the screen for direct actuator commands, and two control slots accommodate modular expansion. Slot U1 accepts an INTERBUS master, while Slot U2 receives the PLC plug-in so the panel can support distributed I/O and local sequence control. The enclosure front meets the IP65 protection level, meaning the display surface and keypad withstand dust and low-pressure water jets. The unit also includes 2 configurable slots for the supported option modules.
