The BTV16.2BBA-512N-P8C-NN-FW is a visualization terminal produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the BTV15 Visualization Terminals series. In an automation cell, it serves as the primary human-machine interface. It allows operators to issue commands, monitor process values, and navigate diagnostics directly at the machine. Its panel-mounted format keeps screen-based control and status display at the enclosure door instead of requiring a separate external workstation.

The unit presents data on a 12 in TFT panel that renders at 800 x 600 px and displays up to 256,000 colors. This display setup provides clear presentation for alarms, menus, machine graphics, and process values. Touch input is supported, so routine selections can be made directly on the screen without external keys. A Pentium III, 933 MHz processor handles visualization tasks, while 512 MB of main memory buffers real-time data tables and active interface pages. One RJ45 10/100 Base-T Ethernet port links the terminal to plant networks for recipe transfer and remote access. Expansion is possible through two PCI slots and one shared PCI/ISA slot, allowing additional communication or interface hardware to be installed.

The front panel carries an IP65 rating, so dust ingress and water jets do not interfere with the electronics when the terminal is sealed into an enclosure opening that measures 350 mm wide by 290 mm high. Behind the door, the housing extends 146.5 mm into the cabinet, so rear clearance must be available for installation. Power demand tops out at 200 W, which helps size the supporting power supply. A 20 GB hard disk stores the operating system, event logs, and screen files.
