The BTV04.1GN-FW is a miniature control panel from Bosch Rexroth Indramat, supplied within the BTV04 Miniature Control Panels series. It serves as a compact human-machine interface. It lets operators issue commands, view machine states, and interact with programmable logic controllers directly from the production floor.
The unit is powered from a 24 V DC source and its consumption peaks at 400 mA, so it can share the same low-voltage rail that feeds sensors and contactors. Visual feedback is provided by an LCD with a resolution of 128 × 64 pixels. The active image area of 68 × 37 mm keeps text and simple graphics legible at arm’s length. Application firmware, screen templates, and message tables are retained in 1 MByte of flash memory, allowing the device to boot without an external storage medium. A 38-key standard membrane keypad gives direct access to functions, and seven of those keys can be remapped by the programmer to speed up frequent commands. Ten digital inputs and eleven transistor outputs, all at 24 V, connect limit switches, beacon lamps, or solenoid valves without extra I/O cards.
During operation, transient variables are buffered in 512 KByte of RAM that is supervised by a Series 68000 microcontroller, enabling deterministic scan times for keypad polling, display refresh, and fieldbus processing. The anodized aluminum bezel and sealed switch mat achieve IP65 front / IP20 housing protection, so airborne dust and directed water jets cannot reach the circuitry while ventilation at the rear remains possible. Communication with higher-level automation equipment is available over RS485 plus a separate RS232 port, supporting either multidrop networks or direct PC links for commissioning. The I/O resources combine with the programmable keys to let the panel handle small stand-alone tasks or act as a decentralized operator station in larger systems.
