Product Description:
The BTV01.3CA-16N-50B-BB-NL-FW is a visualization terminal manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the BTV01 Visualization Terminals series. It provides an operator interface that links machine controllers with plant personnel, presenting process data and accepting commands through an integrated keyboard and display. In automated lines, the unit is installed on an enclosure door or arm mount so an operator can monitor statuses, adjust parameters, and initiate sequences without opening the control cabinet.
The terminal presents information on a 10.4-inch TFT color panel, providing sufficient pixel density for detailed graphics in DIN-compliant screen layouts. Program files, system firmware, and user recipes reside in a 16 MB solid-state memory bank, while larger files are held on a minimum 0.5 GB hard drive that also stores diagnostic logs. A 3.5-inch, 1.44 MB external disk drive allows offline transfer of backup files or CNC part programs when network access is unavailable. The alphanumeric keyboard supports direct value entry, and the front face meets the IP65 protection class, preventing washdown spray and airborne dust from entering through the operator side. The remaining enclosure has an IP20 protection class, which guards against accidental finger contact with internal components but does not provide water protection. This enclosure arrangement is intended for installation in a protected electrical cabinet while keeping the display and keyboard accessible.
Thermal performance affects mounting clearances and cabinet ventilation. During normal operation, the electronics dissipate approximately 65 W, and cabinet airflow must keep the device below its rated surface temperature. Under peak computational load, heat output can increase to 200 W, so forced convection or a heat exchanger may be necessary in tightly arranged panels. Reliable operation is supported at ambient temperatures from +5 °C to +45 °C. During storage, the display and drive electronics can withstand temperatures from -20 °C to +60 °C without component degradation. These temperature ranges should be considered when placing the terminal near drives, PLCs, transformers, or braking resistors that generate additional heat inside the cabinet.
