Product Description:
The BTV01.2CA-08N-50A-AN-NN-FW visualization terminal is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the BTV01 Visualization Terminals series. It functions as a programmable human-machine interface that executes control software and presents process data directly at the machine. By integrating a display, processor, mass storage, and field interfaces in one housing, the terminal reduces panel wiring and supplies operators with real-time feedback for motion axes, safety interlocks, and maintenance counters. The unit is suitable for installation in metal front panels or swing arms where space and shielding are constrained.
Serial data exchange is provided through an RS-232C Com1 port and a SIS (RS-232/RS-485) Com2 port, allowing direct connection to drives, barcode scanners, or PLC programming devices. Graphical output is rendered at a resolution of 640 × 480 pixels on a panel that measures 10.4 inches diagonally. The color TFT matrix provides clear visualization of trend plots and alarm lists. Two external keyboard sockets accommodate membrane or industrial PS/2 keyboards, while one parallel port supports legacy printers for printed reports. A single VGA connector can mirror the internal screen on a larger monitor in a supervisory room.
Internal hardware is built around an Intel Pentium 200 MHz (MMX) processor that works with 32 MB of DRAM to run visualization software and fieldbus drivers. Historical data, parameter files, and boot images are stored on a hard drive with a minimum capacity of 0.5 GB, leaving room for application updates. The power section accepts a mains input of 115/230 VAC (±15%), allowing the terminal to be connected to either North American or European control transformers without modification. Fanless operation simplifies cabinet ventilation and helps keep airborne particles away from sensitive internal components.
