Product Description:
The BTV01.1AA-08N-25C-AB-NN/MD-DE is a human-machine interface manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the BTV01 Visualization Terminals series. As a visualization terminal, it presents process data and accepts operator commands so that programmable controllers can be supervised directly on the machine floor. A sealed aluminum bezel and an integrated keypad form a compact front end that can be mounted on electrical enclosures or console arms in automated cells.
Communication with higher-level controllers is handled through COM 1 over an RS-232C serial channel, enabling point-to-point connections to PLCs or industrial PCs. The front panel withstands dust and low-pressure water jets because of its IP65 rating, while the rear electronics meet an enclosure protection rating of IP20. Under nominal load, the electronics generate a typical heat output of 65 W, which helps determine enclosure cooling requirements when several terminals share the same panel. During operation, the unit remains stable at ambient temperatures from +5 °C to +45 °C, matching the temperature range of many control rooms and production areas. Design index 1 and line code 01 identify the mechanical frame and product generation used for this BTV terminal.
Peak heat output can rise to 200 W when the backlight operates at maximum brightness and all interfaces are active, so forced-air circulation may be needed in compact cabinets. For long-term storage, the assembly tolerates ambient temperatures from -20 °C to +60 °C without component degradation. Operator commands are entered through an integrated alphanumeric keyboard, simplifying text entry for recipe names and alarm notes compared with cursor-only panels. The terminal does not include ISA bus expansion, leaving the internal bus without an installed expansion option. This arrangement keeps the internal configuration fixed and avoids additional heat generation from ISA expansion cards.
