Product Description:
The BTV01.1AA-08N-25C-AB-NN-FW is a visualization terminal manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the BTV01 Visualization Terminals series. It mounts on control cabinets and connects to drives or PLCs so machine status, alarms, and parameter sets can be viewed and modified locally. The unit belongs to design version 1 and internal line code 01, which indicate its circuit board layout within the series. By combining a display with an integrated keypad, it removes the need for an external PC in many operator stations and simplifies HMI wiring.
For reliable operation on the plant floor, the front panel carries a protection rating of IP65, preventing dust ingress and exposure to low-pressure water jets. The rear housing has an IP20 protection rating because it remains inside an enclosure. Serial data exchange with controllers is handled by a COM 1 port with an RS-232C serial interface, allowing point-to-point links up to 15 meters. The electronic assemblies support an ambient operating temperature range of +5°C to +45°C. Within that range, the terminal can dissipate up to 200 W of heat under the highest expected load, which must be considered when sizing cabinet ventilation.
During typical visualization tasks, the power electronics generate only 65 W of heat, so convection or a small fan can often keep internal temperatures below the rated limits. The supported storage temperature range is -20°C to +60°C, allowing unused units to remain in unconditioned storage areas. Operator input is provided by an alphabetic and numeric keyboard, enabling direct text entry for recipe names, axis labels, and diagnostic notes without a separate external keypad. Expansion slots are available for fieldbus cards, but the ISA bus slot has no installed card. This open slot keeps the assembly footprint compact and reduces the number of installed components without affecting the terminal’s standard display and input functions.
