Classified as a machine user terminal, the panel serves as the human interface section of an automated station, allowing operators to issue commands and read status information without opening the control cabinet. Its role in industrial automation is to centralize push buttons and indicators so routine process changes can be made quickly while the internal electronics remain enclosed. This arrangement supports day-to-day interaction at the machine front and keeps the control hardware separated from normal operator access.

The panel measures 407 x 169 x 100 mm, so it fits medium-width door cutouts without requiring additional brackets. During operation, it dissipates up to 20 W, a value used to size cabinet ventilation. The molded front meets IP65 protection, blocking dust ingress and water jets during normal plant use. The rear housing is rated IP20, which means it must remain inside a protected enclosure. Reliable performance is maintained between +5 °C to +45 °C, covering the temperature band common to most indoor production areas. The visual scheme of the operator interface is RAL 7035 light gray, a neutral shade that helps symbols remain easy to read under standard factory lighting. The one-piece front panel is molded from Polyamide (PA6) for mechanical stiffness, and each key cap is formed from Polycarbonate to improve scratch resistance during repeated use. Identification for each push button is carried on polyester foil scale labels that resist common cleaning solvents. The unit is part of Line 16. When equipment is parked or moved, the panel can be stored or transported in ambient temperatures from -20 °C to +60 °C without functional degradation.
