The Rexroth BTC06.1A-N-EP3-FW is an industrial portable control panel. It has buttons and keys which can be used for manual control applications. It is based on a 6800 series microcontroller and comes with 256 kilobytes of RAM and 1 Megabyte of flash memory. An integrated RS-232 interface, which is located on the bottom of the device, can be used for firmware downloads and also for projecting. The firmware for the BTC06.1A-N-EP3-FW has to be ordered separately. The device also supports a combination RS 422 / RS 485 serial interface which can be used to interface the control panel with Indramat controllers. This combination interface is available through the 17-pin main connector which is located adjacent to the RS-232 interface on the bottom of the control panel. The device has a digital LCD display and a 48-key keyboard.
Housing of the BTC06.1A-N-EP3-FW is shock proof. The control panel has an ergonomic enclosure with IP 65 protection rating. A three-position live-man switch is provided on the device which has two floating contacts. Position 1 on this switch corresponds to off, position 2 corresponds to Live-man and position 3 corresponds to panic. An integrated safety circuit on the device ensures that the live-man switch is not activated after a panic event when the switch is being returned to position 1 over position 2. The BTC06.1A-N-EP3-FW also includes an emergency stop button, override potentiometer and activate button three stage dual circuit. Emergency switch on the BTC06.1A-N-EP3-FW is designed to shut off the system operation in any mode. Weight and dimensions of the BTC06.1A-N-EP3-FW are 1.3 kilograms and 315 x 180 x 57 millimeters respectively. The device requires 20 to 30 Volts DC input for operation. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
