The BTA20.4-ND-WB-VB-BS is a machine control board produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the BTA20 Machine Control Boards series. It serves as the operator-side interface that routes override commands, key-switch selections, safety loops, and fieldbus data between a CNC or PLC and the drive package. This gives production equipment a single ruggedized point for manual intervention and status signaling. It allows local machine commands to pass into the control system without separate external interface modules.

This model links to higher-level controllers through an INTERBUS-S / BT-BUS backplane, so feed and spindle setpoints travel over the same deterministic channel as diagnostic data. The front housing carries IP65 protection, allowing installation directly on machine panels exposed to coolant splash or airborne chips. The board has 2 dedicated emergency-stop circuits that create isolated shutdown paths. It also has 3 separate enable circuits so the PLC can energize drives only when guard doors and other interlocks are confirmed.
