The BTA20.4-ND-HP-VB-BS control card is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the BTA20 Machine Control Boards series. Installed inside operator panels, the board links motion controllers, safety functions, and mobile terminals, giving automated machines a single node for field wiring and program data. By combining bus communication, serial channels, and hardwired inputs, the unit coordinates drives, sensors, and stop circuits throughout a cell or production line while keeping operator-panel wiring concentrated at one location.

The board exchanges process data through a 48-bit wide dual-port memory interface and supports the INTERBUS-S / BT-BUS fieldbus, so both legacy and newer nodes can share the same cable run. Remote I/O telegrams travel at 500 kbaud, reducing scan delays in distributed enclosures. A molded front plate carries the operator membrane and has an IP65 rating, blocking dust and high-pressure water when the cabinet door is shut. Physical depth is 119 mm, and the overall height is 169 mm. Inside the enclosure, the 137 mm mounting height and 375 mm mounting width set the screw pattern, while the total width includes handle levers for tool-free removal. These dimensions allow the card to span a broad section of the panel interior without crowding adjacent hardware. Two gray-code rotary switches on the faceplate set the Interbus ID code to 3, letting the card occupy a fixed address without software.

Eight isolated 24 V inputs capture sensor edges, and eight isolated 24 V outputs drive contactors or stack lights without sharing a common ground. Two mobile E-stop circuits are wired through safety relays so a portable pendant can halt motion in parallel with fixed mushroom buttons. The integrated BTC06.2 connector hosts that pendant and carries power, diagnostics, and keypad data on one cable. Serial diagnostics are available through one RS-232 inbound port and a pair of RS-422 links for daisy-chain service access. The front edge is wide enough to leave room for clear labeling of each terminal row and to keep connector groups easy to distinguish.
