The BTA20.4-ND-DC-BA-BS machine control board is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the BTA20 Machine Control Boards series. It is intended to anchor remote I/O clusters and emergency-stop chains inside modular production lines. By combining discrete signal processing with high-speed fieldbus links, the board bridges on-machine sensors and actuators to the plant-level PLC, supporting deterministic control tasks such as interlock monitoring, motion release, and sequence feedback. Its compact footprint allows placement in operator panels where real-time status indication is required.

The board exchanges cyclic process data over INTERBUS-S; its network interface sustains 500 kbaud transfer speed and transports 48 bits of user data per telegram, identified on the bus by an ID code of 3.
