The BTA20.4-ND-BP-VB-BS is a machine control board produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the BTA20 Machine Control Boards series. Installed inside operator panels, it gathers field signals, processes them, and exchanges status information with higher-level controllers so that drives, safety loops, and user overrides stay synchronized during automated machine cycles. It is suited for packaging lines, woodworking centers, and similar automated equipment.

The board communicates over INTERBUS-S and BT-BUS links, and each telegram carries a data width of 48 bits, allowing simultaneous transfer of position flags, safety bits, and override codes. Remote stations are serviced at a rate of 500 kbaud, so status updates arrive fast enough for motion tasks that need millisecond response. The unit provides 40 digital input channels and 24 digital output channels, which suits medium-sized machines that must read sensors, light curtains, and selector switches while still driving contactors or pilot valves. Every output can source up to 200 mA, which is enough current for typical 24 V solenoids or indicator lamps without extra relays. Two dedicated E-stop circuits and three enabling circuits are routed separately from the general I/O to keep safety logic independent.
