The BTA20.3-NB-LP-KA-BS control card is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the BTA20 Machine Control Boards series. Designed as a modular subsystem for motion equipment, the board accepts field signals, performs local logic, and forwards status information to higher-level automation controllers. Within a Rexroth machine, it forms the electrical interface between discrete sensors, actuator coils, and safety interlocks, enabling coordinated start, stop, and position sequences across axes and auxiliary devices.

Beneath the front panel, the board communicates with the higher-level PLC through the INTERBUS-S / BT-BUS backplane. Across that bus, it exchanges control data with a width of 3 words, giving the controller predictable cycle times for deterministic tasks. Local field wiring terminates on eight digital inputs and eight digital outputs, summarized as 8 In / 8 Out.
