Product Description:
The BTA20.3-NB-HP-VB-BS is a station panel control board developed by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the BTA20 Machine Control Boards series. Installed on the machine front end, the board aggregates operator commands, safety circuits, and status indicators so that the connected CNC or PLC can coordinate axes and spindle drives without additional wiring complexity. Within an automation line, it acts as a local human-machine interface, mapping push-button sequences, emergency stops, and bus traffic into electrical and serial formats that the higher-level controller can process in real time.
Communication with upstream electronics is achieved through the INTERBUS-S / BT-BUS backplane, while the on-board converter provides RS232 to RS422/485 conversion so legacy service ports and modern differential links can coexist. For discrete signaling, the board offers 8 digital inputs that capture sensor or push-button states and 8 digital outputs that drive lamps, contactors, or relays. Two dedicated E-stop loops and two independent reset loops are routed through the safety connector to satisfy category requirements without external relays. The front assembly carries a lacquered aluminum and polyester foil faceplate and maintains an IP65 seal, allowing washdown cleaning when the panel is mounted to an enclosure door. Three switch keys equipped with LEDs give immediate visual feedback during setup or diagnostics.
Additional motion adjustment is provided by dual override selectors that act on feed and spindle channels. Each selector presents 16 override lock positions, is encoded in gray code, and the board counts the detents so the control system can apply smooth scaling. The pair constitutes 2 override switches, and their shafts are protected inside the housing, which carries an IP20 rating when the board is removed from the sealed front panel. The printed circuit is lacquer-coated to resist vibration, while the aluminum and polyester surface keeps legends intact.
