The BTA20.3-NA-ZP-BA-BS is a machine control board manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the BTA20 Machine Control Boards series. Designed for installation in a standard central panel, it coordinates discrete sensors, actuators, and multiple bus channels so programmable logic controllers can exchange status and command data with connected machinery in real time. Its emergency-off push-button zone is located on the left edge of the assembly, which helps shorten wiring runs to the main safety contactors. This layout suits cabinets where control wiring, safety circuits, and communication links are grouped in one section.

The board provides 24 V digital channels arranged as 8 inputs, 8 outputs, and each output can source up to 200 mA per output so relays or small solenoid valves can be driven directly. It also carries a 5 V auxiliary bus that can deliver 50 mA to low-power encoders and similar signal devices. Field communication is handled through the INTERBUS-S / BT-BUS connector, while the backplane includes separate 1x IN and 1x OUT Interbus ports so the module can be placed in the middle of a bus line without extra repeaters. The controller transfers parameter data with an I/O width of 3 words. Its footprint measures 407 x 169 x 119 mm, allowing installation beside other BTA20 cards in the rack.

On the operator side, the front membrane meets IP65 to protect the keys from dust and low-pressure water jets, while the rear card frame remains open at IP20 for protected cabinet mounting. An onboard converter changes RS232 to RS422/485, allowing longer serial links without additional interface hardware. Downstream devices can also connect through a dedicated serial header with 1x RS232 IN; 1x RS422 IN; 1x RS422 OUT for point-to-point or multidrop diagnostics. This combination supports direct communication with external devices while keeping the control board inside the cabinet.
