The Bosch Rexroth Indramat BTA20.2-NB-LF-KA-BS is part of the BTA20 Machine Control Boards series and features 8 addressable inputs and 8 outputs. The BTA20.2-NB-LF-KA-BS is a machine control board manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and delivered within the BTA20 Machine Control Boards series. Installed in a control cabinet, the board aggregates discrete inputs, outputs, and fieldbus data so that an automation controller can use them for sequence logic, safety shutdowns, and device coordination. Additional serial links are available through a 9-pin RS-232 port for diagnostics and a 15-pin RS-422/485 interface for long-distance multipoint communication. By combining local I/O handling with bus communication on one board, it supports coordinated response to machine states without requiring separate interface hardware for every panel function.
The board exchanges process data over the INTERBUS-S / BT-BUS backplane. Each INTERBUS cycle handles a data width of 48 bits and is clocked at 500 kbaud, allowing timely refresh of connected nodes during normal machine operation. Local signal capacity is configured for 8 inputs and 8 outputs, giving direct wiring points for limit switches, valves, or indicator lamps. A front panel sealed to IP65 protects the operator-facing membrane from dust and low-pressure water jets, while the 9-pin external input connector and 10-pin external output connector keep field wiring separated. The INTERBUS identification code is 3, so the master recognizes the board during automatic station scanning, and a customized key switch occupies the right-hand module slot for user-defined machine functions.
Cabinet-side protection is rated at IP20, matching typical enclosure airflow requirements. The card includes 2 dedicated handheld emergency-stop loops. Overall depth is 100 mm, height is 169 mm, and width is 407 mm, so the assembly occupies a single rack bay without overhang. These dimensions leave space for bus wiring behind the card and provide access to the spring-clamp terminals at the cabinet side.
