The BTA20.2-NA-WH-BA-BS is a machine control board produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and assigned to the BTA20 Machine Control Boards series. It is installed in operator stations or cabinet doors, where it combines safety, motion, and diagnostic inputs on a single INTERBUS remote slave. This arrangement lets a higher-level PLC supervise axis drives and peripheral sensors through one board instead of separate interface modules. It also concentrates panel-side commands and status functions in one location, which helps keep the operator interface organized. Because the board works as a remote slave, field signals can remain close to the machine interface while control logic stays in the central system.

The control core draws only 50 mA from the INTERBUS backplane, leaving reserve current for other connected devices on the same network segment. Field communication uses INTERBUS-S / BT-BUS, and the board transfers its I/O image at a remote bus speed of 500 Kbaud. Status bits, command words, and service flags are grouped into a 48-bit data word, which keeps telegram length short and supports fast cycle updates. Local service access is provided by an onboard converter from RS232 to RS422/485, so both single-ended and differential tools can be connected without an external adapter. This makes service access simpler when serial devices with different electrical interfaces must be connected to the same board.

The anodized front plate is sealed to IP65 to resist dust and water jets, while the rear housing remains at IP20 for cabinet installation. This separation allows the operator side to face the machine exterior while the electronics side remains inside the enclosure. Direct operator input is handled through an illuminated pad with 3 White Keys, 2 Red Keys, 1 Switching Knob, which separates routine motion commands from acknowledgment functions and makes the control areas easier to distinguish. Overall dimensions of 407 × 169 × 100 mm fit panel layouts commonly used for earlier BTA stations. A fixed emergency-stop module is mounted on the left edge to interrupt the local drive bus, and the right side includes a blank module position reserved for optional accessories such as additional digital I/O or handwheel inputs.
