The BTA15.1-NC-DB-BS is a control board manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the BTA15 Machine Control Boards series. Designed for distributed automation, the board acts as an interface between field sensors, actuators, and higher-level drives, enabling coordinated motion and sequence control within production equipment. By providing dedicated digital input and output channels together with serial bus connectivity, it simplifies wiring and allows parameter-driven configuration of small handling modules, presses, or packaging stations equipped with Indramat drive controllers.
All logic circuits are powered from a supply line rated at 24 VDC, eliminating the need for multiple external rails. The module exchanges process data over dual INTERBUS-S and BT-BUS channels; on the BT segment, it can support up to 4 downstream devices and a cumulative cable length of 50 m. Cyclic telegrams are transferred at 500 Kbaud, which helps keep scan times low for time-critical motion commands. Internally, the board maintains an I/O width of 48 bit, matching the eight digital inputs and eight transistor outputs so that each bit maps directly to one field point. It also carries an Interbus identification code of 3, allowing the network master to recognize and address the card automatically.
The front panel has a protection rating of IP65, allowing direct mounting on machine frames exposed to dust or light fluid splash, while the interior housing is rated IP20 for cabinet integration. Functional parameters remain stable at operating temperatures up to 45 °C, and altitude can reach 1500 m without derating. For storage and transport, the board withstands temperatures from -20 °C to 60 °C, so it can be kept in unconditioned areas until installation. This arrangement supports use in machines where localized mounting and cabinet-mounted components are both required.
