The CZM01.3-02-07 is an auxiliary bleeder module produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the Auxiliary Bleeders series. Installed across the DC link of multi-axis drive systems, the unit converts regenerative energy from decelerating motors into heat, keeping the common bus voltage within safe limits and helping prevent overvoltage faults in industrial automation cells. This role is especially important when several axes share one DC bus and can return braking energy at the same time. It is intended for automation cabinets where regenerative braking is common and where uncontrolled bus rise could interrupt motion. By absorbing that returned energy instead of letting it accumulate in the bus, the module supports stable operation during frequent acceleration and deceleration cycles.
During normal operation, the bleeder is connected to a bus that runs at up to 700 V DC. When regenerated energy exceeds the storage capacity of the bus capacitors, the module dissipates the excess and supports a continuous thermal load of 2.0 kW. At this operating point, the electronics consume only 50 W, which keeps the module's own internal demand comparatively low. The shared bus can have a capacitance of 2.4 mF, so the stored energy remains significant after a braking event.
