Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the CZM01.1-01-07 bleeder module as part of the Auxiliary Bleeders series. This compact accessory is installed on the DC-bus side of a drive cabinet so that excess regenerative energy is converted into heat instead of raising link voltage. By providing a controlled discharge path, the unit protects connected servo inverters and keeps the common bus within its allowable operating window during braking cycles in automated machinery.

The bleeder is designed for a DC-bus nominal voltage of 700 V, aligning with the power sections of IndraDrive Compact controllers. During continuous braking, it can absorb up to 1.0 kW of thermal power, based on the internal resistor network and heat-sink geometry. Energy storage before dissipation is provided by a capacitor bank rated at 1.0 mF, which helps stabilize the link potential against fast current spikes. Installation requires a minimum adjacent clearance of 80 mm so that natural convection can carry heat away from the fins. Field wiring uses a plug-in screw terminal, and the bus conductors land on labeled pins L+1, L+2, L-1, and L-2 for straightforward polarity checks. The unit is design version 1 and series version 1, and the internal leads are stranded to resist vibration.

The power jumper between the controller and the bleeder must use a cross-section of 4 mm² and may not exceed a length of 1 m to limit voltage drop. A protective equipment ground of 10 mm² is required to help maintain touch-safe surface temperatures during fault conditions. The module interfaces with DKC01.1-040-7-FW and DKC11.1-040-7-FW controllers for regenerative energy management across compatible axis packages. Stranded conductors allow tight bending inside compact enclosures, and the bleeder relies on the drive's existing DC-bus supervision rather than auxiliary fusing.
