The ADF164B-B05TC0-AS06-A2N2 spindle motor designed by Indramat Rexroth is operated at a spiral force with a service lifespan of 20,000 working hours. The recommended axial force equals 30 N in almost all mounting orientations at any elevation level. The spindle motor may only be used in heavy-duty bearing loads with a minimum radial force of 1.5kN and is not suited for direct connections to the main power supply. The ADF motor has been tested and has shown better results in practical applications on printing, plastic injection, textile, and molding machines. The spindle motor functions by obtaining and transmitting signals to the control drive through an integrated encoder module hence position and control the speed of the rotor. The expected torque-speed during this function is estimated to be 1/ 2 000 000th revolutions.
The ADF164B-B05TC0-AS06-A2N2 is mounted using a flange either vertically or horizontally. Sealing accessories are available for use during mounting of the ADF motor. The sealing equipment prevents excessive liquids from accumulating at the output shafts of the spindle motor. When moving the ADF motor from one place to another, lift the spindle motor only at the mounting eye bolts. If lifting is not done using these points, then damage can be caused to the coolant inlet and outlet pipes. The allowed ambient temperature for storing the ADF motor is -25° to +85° C and should be in a dust-free environment.
The ADF164B-B05TC0-AS06-A2N2 is liquid-cooled and should be operated at a favorable temperature of from 0° to 45° C.
