The industrial automation space was revolutionized by the entrance of Rexroth ADF main spindle motors. This series of motors support any elevation during operation provided the surrounding temperature is kept between 0.0 degrees Celsius and 45.0 degrees Celsius. Also, Rexroth ADF motors use their housing to guard against penetration by external objects, water seeping in, and contact with moving or live parts. These motors have different international protection ratings which indicates the motors’ level of protection against extrinsic objects and liquids. Note that ADF main spindle motors have a black primary coating that is resistant to diluted acids, alkaline solutions, chalky build ups, weathering, and yellowing.
The ADF132D-B05TA3-AS07-A2N1 is a main spindle motor designed and manufactured by Rexroth. The motor has a nominal output apparent power rating of 36.0 kilowatts, a nominal torque rating of 229 N-m, a nominal speed of 1500 revolutions per minute, a nominal voltage of 380 Volts, and a nominal current rating of 85 Amperes. The ADF132D-B05TA3-AS07-A2N1 is liquid cooled. Unlike in air-cooled motors, liquid-cooled motors are smaller in size since there is no space left for cooling fans, they are quieter, and more efficient.
