The ADF132D-B05TA3-AS03-A2N1 is a main spindle motor. It belongs to the series of liquid-cooled spindle motors. These motors can also act as servo drives for tool machine applications. The motor weighs about 140 kgs. It is the heaviest among the ADF spindle motor family. It has an output of 36 kilowatts and is rated at 1500 rpm. The nominal torque is 229 Nm which is the highest among other ADF motors. It operates at 380 Volts but a direct connection to the main lines is not allowed. It consumes 85 Amps of current for rated torque generation. With standard bearings, this motor can reach a max. speed of 7500 rpm and up to 10000 rpm with Spindellagerung bearings.
It has flanged-type mounting and a power connection in the form of a terminal box located at the A-side of the motor. The motor dissipates about 4 kilowatts of heat at nominal ratings. This model does not have holding brakes. There is a high-resolution rotary encoder to provide motor speed feedback. There is a plain output shaft for load connection without any sealing rings. It features an IP65 casing that allows it to bear temperatures from 5 to 45 degrees Celsius during the operation.
