It has several features designed to enhance its operational reliability, such as its squirrel-cage rotor. This rotor generates strong magnetic fields and a high starting torque necessary for the motor’s optimum operation. It has a moment of inertia of 0.021 kgm². The absence of brushes and slip rings in the rotor also reduces the need for maintenance and noise generation during the motor’s operation.
