2AD180D-B35OA2-BS03-A2V2 is a 2AD series asynchronous motor. It is developed by Bosch Rexroth for industrial use in packaging and reshaping machines. The motor is equipped with an axial blower. The benefit of this cooling arrangement is better cooling and lower ambient temperatures, which enable higher motor output power and torque. A drawback is that the blower requires external power. The IP65 rated blower power connection requires 400 to 480 Volts AC (three-phase) input and the blower’s power draw is 220 VA. During operation, the blower produces almost 2000 cubic meters of airflow each hour. This airflow helps to ensure that the ambient temperature remains below 45 ⁰C, which is the upper threshold for rated output. For rated motor output, in addition to ambient temperature, the site elevation also needs to be 1000 meters or less.
