There are a number of critical setup rules that this 2AD164B-B05OB1-BS06-B2N1 motor follows. Users can only use the "B05" mounting type if the power connector is in position "O." Vibration severity grade "3" doesn't work with bearing type "V," and motor feedback types "8," "9," and "C" may only be used with cooling mode "E" and a driven shaft that has a shaft sealing ring. The only way to get cooling mode "E" is with junction box connections (C, D, E, and F) and the feedback kinds indicated above.

The motor is designed to last for 20,000 hours of operation, and it can handle an axial force of up to 50 N in any installation configuration. Users may either utilize ready-made Bosch Rexroth cables or make their own for electrical connections. Bosch Rexroth's pre-made cables provide several benefits, such as pre-wiring, being able to bend back and forth without breaking, being resistant to mineral and biological oils, hydrolysis, and meeting rigorous safety and environmental requirements (UL, CSA, VDE0472-804, EMC, and IP67). These cables are also devoid of silicon and halogen, don't stick to things very well, and assist keep electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) standards.

If the motor is going to be used in places where there is a lot of dust, oil, lubricants, or cutting materials, it is best to provide clean cooling air to the motor from the outside using a hose or air duct. In these situations, motors should have a radial blower. To do this, users need to take off the radial blower that came with the factory and put it on separately. For appropriate installation, users need two SUP-M01-2AD... blower cowl attachments.
