Product Description:

2AD160C-B35LL1-BS13/S021 is a surface-cooled servo motor. Surface-cooling (forced ventilation) employs fans or blowers for improved motor cooling. This feature is critical for higher torque and power output, which is a requirement for applications with higher loads. Even though external power is required for the fan/blower, this cooling method enables consistent and reliable operation in the long-term. Specifications for the axial blower installed on this motor include 220 VA power consumption, 400/460 Volts AC input, and 1120 m3/h average air volume. Another important motor feature is a holding brake, which is used to prevent accidental or unintentional motor movement. The brake works as a safety device, protection equipment from damage and personnel from injury. The same device that controls motor speed, the Bosch controller, also controls the holding brake. A 24 Volts DC signal is sent by the controller to the brake to engage and clamp down on the shaft.
